--TIMES-NEWS (Mount Pulaski. IlL) THURSDAY. DECEMBER 21, 1961 NO, THIS ISN'T AN EARLY KANSAS SCENE but one about a mile south of the lake in the Fred Bellatti neighborhood. This one room house was occupied by Berryman and Sarah Lucas Wood and their children, Amos, Lillian M. Woods Ryan and Tommy Rus- sell, a grandson.. Mr. Berryman made a fish delivery to Mount Pulaski twice a week and rang his little bell to alert customers. That isn't a television antenna on top of the house--it was one of the popular lightning rods almost every home had; that was more important then than a bomb shelter. ,_TOy We wish that Chd.stmas brings to you and yours a bountiful blessing of enduring joy. A, W, Schaffenacker LOY DUNN Let us renew our dedication to l-tim and fervently pray that good will and eternal peace will be the shining gift to all mankind. ./,/ HAYES GARAGE i I
