SECURITY There are low things in life that we want so much as security. We like to ,'eel that we are /:epared to: the future, pro- tected against poverty, old age, accident, unemployment, One reason why we talk so much about security is that we have so little of it in our world. We work and build and plan and strive, and over it all there hovers a dark cloud of uncerTamw, haunting us with the thought tha a an>" moment a belt, unfor- seen and unexpected, may shatter all hat we have built. The real tragedy of the situation is that we think our security depends on financial stability, or interncrhonal peace, or persona] SUCCESS. Actually, our problem is s/iritua]: and ff we are to solve it, we must turn to religion. But not just cmy kind of religion! Mny people seeking security discover that rehqion serves only to multiply their problems and to increase their perplexity. It is only the religion of the Gospel of tesus Christ which can help us face the future unafraid, for this Gospel assures us that God loves us in Christ, tcday, tomorrow, and forever.
