Temperature went to 80 degrees; then rain in evening and continuing all night. ] Some trees were striped of their!i leaves by the high wind. By Friday morning the temper- ature had dropped to 34 . Cloudy, mild wind. Temperature went down to 32 then climbed to 38 for  high. Sun came out about mid- morning. Ice forming by 6 p.m. Saturday dawned with three 'firsts'. Our first freeze, our lowest: temperature, 26", and our first heavy killing frost. A bright day with sunshine and temperature around 38 to 40 degrees. Saturday was a bit warmer with a 35 degrees.
