4 9 Winners of Fall Festival Quilt Show Announced Visitors to the Fall Festival Quilt Show at the Courthouse were asked to vote for their one favorite quilt. .:i Second prize went to "Bridal Album" quilt made by Dolly Buckles. First prize went to Tina Campbell for "Postage Stamp" Third prize went to Helen Fine for her "Mama's Sam- quilt. Her daughter Dolly Buckles owns the quilt, pler" quilt. There also was a drawing for a Jubilee Civil War quilt pattern donated by the Quilt Shop in Bishop Hill. OnlY active quilters were invited to enter the drawing. The winner was Kathy Mc Dougold of Bloomington. Mt Pulaski Courthouse Foundation expressed thanks to everyone who entered a quilt in the sho everyone who helped set -up and staffthe show, and everyone who came to visit the show. Bridge Replacement Mt Pulaski Road District Bridge Replacement on 100th Street anticipated start-date in late October. The bridge, two miles east of Comland on 100th Street (East of Laatsch's and Deppe's) is being replaced; construction is anticipated to begin in late October, and will take approximately two months to complete. 100th St. will be dosed between l l00th and 1225th Aves during construction. This bridge needs to be replaced due to bad piling. Contacting Leslie "Foxie" Hild, Highway Commis- sioner, at 792-5164 or mprddist@yahoo.com, or the Logan County Highway Department at 732-3059 can provide additional information about the project. As always, your cooperation and patience is appreci- ated during these road closures. Mt. Pulaski Twp. Road District-Leslie "Foxie Hild Donations Needed Mt. Pulaski Historical Society is collecting gently used Christmas decorations for their Vinegar Hill Christmas Market. Wreaths, garlands, ornaments, snowmen, out- side decorations, trees, etc. are all acceptable. We just ask that everything be in good condition and salablc If you have any of these things that you aren't using any- more, please consider helping us out: This is a main fundraiser for the museum and all pro- ceeds go toward the upkeep. No clothing or liquids as in body lotion, etc. Donations need to be received as soon as possible and can be brought to the museum Thursday thru Saturday, noon to 4pm.
