These Times care of me, they are beautiful service I receive at The Hearing Aid l I l By Mike Lakin Barbara Stroud-Borth reported a recent visitor to the Mt. Pulaski Court- house recalled that years ago, when he came to Mt. Pulaski, there was a phone booth on what is now the Old Brickyard comer. All over the country, calls were a quarter at that time; except in Mt. Pulaski. Here they were only a dime. Barbara asks, "Does anyone else remember this"? A few weeks ago, Allen Schaal saw a phenomenon that brought back memories from the 50s - 60s. Hewas in his yard and saw a "brown sky" approach. He said the last time he'd seen that was the dust clouds of 50-60 years ago. As this "brown wall" approached, the wind kicked up quite a bit and the wall went through - head- ing south. It was probably carrying soil and field debris picked up from somewhere. Daylight Savings Time ends Sunday November 1. Remember to set your clock back one-hour Sunday night (Halloween Night) October 3t. And... change the batter- ies in those smoke detectors.
