Resident's stop at Mt. Pulaski recycling induded dropping off plastics. Opening the bin found household garbage. Resident com- mented whoever dumped garbage included what ever this is they were eating at the time. Allen & Shirley Schaal noticed someone in the wading pool. Twice a day the pool is checked due to the draught. All day long, about 20-birds are splashing and stopping by for water. There's a brick in the pool for birds to sand on. This time, a hawk stopped at the pool. Its presence made the other birds decide absence was best. At first, the hawk stood on the edge of the pool. A moment of thought resulted in it getting in the pool. Refreshed after some time, the hawk exited and the regulars were back at the "watering hole."
