START HERE: Sale Ends Oct. 31, 2011 As a continuation from last time, we begin with the PORTA open that was held on September 24th at the Shambolee Golf Course in Petersburg. It was a beautiful and cool moming. We teed off at 9:00 a.m. with the fol- lowing results: as a team, we came in 9th out of 12 teams. Our total score was 374. Our leading scorer was Kyle Przykopanski with an 89, followed by Owen Tschantz with a 91, Christopher Wernsing with a 95, Jacob Stoll with a 99, Trenton Trump with a 109, and Shawn Knauer with an uncharacteristic 122. The following Monday, we played Williamsville, Pleasant Plains, and North Mac at The Raft golf course in Sherman. As is typical of that Monday, we had wind, rain, and cold! We were 3rd of 4 teams. Pleasant Plains had 169; Williams- ville had 173; we had 188; and North Mac had 192. At this point, our record was 11 - 6. On Tuesday, we were at Lincoln Greens in Spring- field. The teams we played were Lanphier, Southeast, and PORTA. Once again, we placed 3rd of 4 teams. Mr. Pulaski Golf Hews PORTA had 153; Lan- phier had 159; we had 184; and Southeast had 189. Now our record was 12 - 8. Our scoring was: Shawn Knauer - 43: Kyle Przykopanski - 45; Owen Tschantz - 48; Jacob Stoll 48; Christopher Wernsing -48; and Trenton Trump - 50. On Thursday, the 29th, we went to Sunset Hills, Pekin to play against Midwest Central and North Fulton. We came in first with a 178; Mid- west Central had 195; and North Fulton had 215. Our scoring was: Owen Tschantz 42; Jacob StoU- 44; Shawn Knauer - 45; Trenton Trump - 47; Christopher Wernsing - 54. Kyle Przykopanski had to withdraw on the second hole. Our record for this year is: 14 won, and 8 lost. I am proud of our golfers!!!!! On Friday, the 30th, the Junior Varsity went to Greenview for the Bull- dog JV invitational. We finished last of 8 teams with a 222. Our scores were: Bryan McCawley - 50; Marcus Hoock - 52; Janson Cooper - 58; Mat- thew Holmes - 59; Andrea Dickerson - 59; and Mat- thew Amidon - 71. It was Did You Know - "The Simpsons" avoided can- cellation and will be around for their 24th and 25th seasons after voice actors agreed to a 30% pay cut. Mt. Pulaski Times a tough day for the JVs! On Tuesday, October 4th, we participated in the Regionals at Country Hills golf course in Green- view. We were 9th out of 13 teams with a 388 score. Kyle Przykopanski had a 93; Shawn Knauer had a 94; Owen Tschantz had a 99; Jacob Stoll had a 102; Christopher Werns- ing had a 109; and Ryan Amidon had a 137. On Wednesday, Octo- ber 5th, the girls' regional was held at Edgewood golf course in Auburn. Andrea Dickerson (our first" lady golfer) scored a 144 on a very tough course. Our boys would not have wanted to play on this course! So ends this golfing season. We will miss the 3 seniors: Ryan Amidon, Kyle Przykopanski, and Christopher Wernsing.
