Honeybears Review By Coach Anderson Honeybears Lose to Zion At CCS - During the second round of the Carroll Catholic Tour- nament, the Honey- bears (1-4) lost to Zion 32 - 10. Lily Pickett had 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Elizabeth Siebert had 2 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist. Ashley Houser, Morgan Hayes, and Alex Bowles each had 4 rebounds apiece. Panthers Defeat Hon- eybears At CCS - Despite out- scoring the Panthers 14 - 8 in the second half, the Honeybears effort still came up short. Chester East Lincoln won the third place game 32 - 22. Elizabeth Siebert had 7 points, 7 steals, and 3 blocks. BreAnna Rent- meister had 7 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocks. Emilee Burge had 4 points, 3 points, 2 steals, and 1 block. Ashley Houser had 2 points and 7 rebounds. Miranda Hilliard had 2 points and 1 assist. Honeybears Take One from The Storm At Illiopolis The 6th grade Honeybears (3 - 0) beat the San- gamon Valley Storm 21 - 6. Skylar Hayes had 8 points, 4 rebounds and 1 steal. Ainsley Chandler had 4 points and 6 rebounds. Emilee Burge had 4 points and 3 rebounds. Tosha Boyer had 3 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Abigail Fitzpatrick had 2 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steas. The 7th grade Honey- bears (0 - 5) lost to San- gamon Valley 24 - 13. Skye Kreminger had 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. Alex Bowles had 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Mackenzi Lock and Emilee Burge each scored a bucket. Alexandra Beckers had 1 point, 2 steals, and 1 block. The 8th grade Hon- eybears (1 - 7) were tied 19 - 19 with the Storm in the final minute of the game, however, the Storm came out on top 21 - 19. BreAnna Rent- meister had 10 points and 4 steals. Ashley Houser had 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. Morgan Hayes had 3 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals. Elizabeth Siebert had 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 steals. Honeybears Sweep Calvary At Mt. Pulaski - Emilee Burge led the 6th grade Honeybears (4 - 0) with 8 points as the Honeybears won 34 - 0. Tosha Boyer, Ain- sley Chandler, Abigail Fitzpatrick, and Harley Stogner each scored 4 points apiece. Shelby Barley, Olivia Knoedler, Skylar Hayes, Callie Anderson, and Jade Stewart each scored a basket. The 7th grade team (1 - 5) got their first win of the season by knocking off Calvary 20 - 10. Emilee Burge had 4 points and 9 rebounds. Tosha Boyer, Alexandra Beckers, and Mackenzie Lock each scored 4 points apiece. Alex Bowles and Harley Moore added a basket. Ashley Houser had 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The 8th grade team (2 - 7) won their game 36 - 11. BreAnna Rent- meister had 14 points, 11 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. Lilly Pickett had 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals. Elizabeth Siebert had 8 points and 8 steals. Lauren Anderson had 4 points and 3 steals. Morgan Hayes had 2 points and 3 rebounds. Tiffany Stewart had 4 rebounds. Honeybears Take Third Place At Mt. Pulaski - The 6th grade Honeybears (6- 1)went 2- 1 during their 6th grade tourna- ment this weekend. The Honeybears won their first game 39 - 3 against Riverton. Abi- gail Fitzpatrick and Emilee Burge each scored 8 points. Skylar has made 7 points. Jade Stewart made 4 points. Tosha Boyer, Ainsley Chandler, Callie Ander- son, Madison Thomas, and Emily Wakeman each scored a basket. Pleasant Plains beat the Honeybears 20 - 16 during the second round of the tourna- ment. Emily Wakeman and Emilee Burge each scored 4 points. Skylar Hayes scored 3 points. Abigail Fitzpatrick and Callie Anderson added a basket, while Ainsley Chandler added 1 point. During the third place game, the Honeybears beat Sangamon Valley 26 - 8. Emilee Burge had 11 points. Callie Anderson scored 6 points. Skylar Hayes had 5 points and Emily Wakeman had 4 points. Lincoln Jr. High also participated in the Honeybear tournament and went 1 - 2 in the tournament. They lost As the corn comes down there's a big change in the land- scape. Steve Hahn Photo Oct. 15, 2011 Tree Dedication Mt. Pulaski Rotary Club welcomes Dis- trict Governor, Ron Schettler, to their Tree Dedication ceremony in honor of the club's 75th Anniversary. The Dedication will be Sat., Oct. 22 at 10Am at the Veteran's Memorial at the Mt. Pulaski Cemetery. A Luncheon will follow immediately at Buff's Family Restaurant for Rotary mem- bers and guests. The Lincoln Rotary Club will be special-guests since that club was the sponsor of the Mt. Pulaski club 75 years ago. All past member and former officers of Mt. Pulaski are invited to attend this event. to Pleasant Plains 44 - 3. During the second round they beat River- ton 25 - 10, and then they lost the consola- tion championship to Athens 21 - 20.
