9 Hardware & Gardens Note Meeting Date Change Mt. Pulaski Township meeting changed to 7:30 Pm Monday October 17. Mt. Pulaski High School Senior-of-the-Month O O t,,I t~ O Lukas Aylesworth Lukas is the son of Richard and Debby Ayles- worth of Mt. Pulaski. He was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, lead- ership, service, and character. Lukas stays very involved at MPHS. He has been involved in FFA, Science Olympiad, WYSE, NHS, Soccer, Basketball, Spanish Club, Prom Committee, Legacy Group Leader, and ;Spirit Squad. He was also class president his freshman, sophomore, and junior year. At Zion Lutheran, he is a member of the youth group. Lukas has won many "student of the year" awards throughout his time at Mt. Pulaski High School; Biology, Introduction to Agri- culture, PE, Anatomy, and US History-just to name a few. He is also has been FFA Chapter President, on Homecoming Court sophomore and junior year, 4-H club President, and won 1st place in Chemistry in WYSE. Lukas plans on attending a 4-year university and studying Agriculture Engineering. Senior-of-the-Month award winners receive, from Johnson True Value, a $50 award paid to the college they plan to attend. Gregory and Brittany Neunuebel of Hazelwood, Mo., joyfully announce the birth of their daugh- ter, Edith MaryLynn Neunuebel, born on June 28, 2016. Edith, also called Edie, was born at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - St. Charles weighing 7 pounds, 8 ounces and measuring 22.5 inches. Edith is the couple's first child. Courthouse Foundation and Community Pride Haunted Courthouse 5-7Pm Saturday, October 29, children are invited to the Haunted Courthouse and Maze. Each child is asked to bring a non- perishable food item for the Logan County food Pantry. Children are also requested to wear their costumes. There will be pumpkin painting, refreshments, games, and treats to take home. The event signals a new cooperation between the Courthouse Foundation and Community Pride. 5 Edith's grandparents are Greg- ory and Tammy Holmes of Mt.
