Special Meeting Appointments By Mike Lakin The Council met Monday September 18 for two specific reasons: appoint the new Street Department Superintendent and appoint the new Economic Advisory Committee. Mayor Jim Cole said he was submitting Bill Fricke to the Council for the new position of Street Department Superintendent. The Council approved the appointment without discussion. Mayor Jim Cole said the following had been decided on with Alderman Matt Bobell. Submitted to the full Council was: Tom Martin, Tim Emrick, Hillary Cherry, Sean Tyson, and Rene Martin. The Council approved the appo'mtment with limited dis- cussion concerning the new committee was to abide by the Open Meeting Act (post- ing agenda, recording minutes, and advising Council). Barbara Stroud-Borth, Courthouse Site Superintendent, and new volunteer Barb Morrow welcomed visitors to the Courthouse during Fall Festival; also sharing a laugh during a break.
