New York "times pulled the young adult book =Handbook for Mortals" off bestseller list over suspicious sales. Mt Putaski Library Used Book Sale Labor Day Week September 5-9 The Used Book Sale is during library hours: Tuesday-Thursday 10-7, Friday 10-5, and Sat- urday 9-1. Books are $5 a bag, or hardback $1, paper- back 75c, audio/video $1. Saturday will be buck-a-bag day. Thank you to everyone who donated items for the sale. Check out our Facebook page for some of the toys and games that are also for sale. The proceeds from our book sale this year will go towards new junior fiction and non-fiction. (OME TO THE (OURTHOUSE DURING FALL FESTIVAL Try Your Hand at Quilting One hundred year old quilt frames and an unfinished quilt have been prepared so visi- tors to the Courthouse can try their hand at quilting. With the help of Dolly Buckles and Alexis Asher, some very old quilt pieces and a very old quilt frame will come together to provide a unique opportunity, which can take visitors back to the 1850s and 1860s. Fall Festival is Sept 15-16. 99 Mt. Pulaski Community Pride would like to invite you and your organization to participate in this year's parade? The parade will take place on Saturday, September 16th at 1:00 PM. Line up/registration starts at 11:30AM at the American Legion Post 447. (103 E. Scroggin Avenue in Mt. Pulaski) We will be traveling north up Washington Street. The parade will end at the intersection of Harry & Washington Streets (at the Library). Tum right (east) at this intersec- tion to exit the parade route and continue two blocks to Vine Street. Turn right on Vine Street (south) and travel south to the legion. Participation Categories School and Local Org ations Business Organizations Automotive/Tractors The top contender from each category will be selected to be in the final running for a monetary prize: laPlace. $200 2mtPlace. $150 Place: $100 ** All entries/participants must follow the theme in order to be considered for one of the prizes.
