The owner was actually the ex-boyfriend of the female registered owner. When asked for a driver's license, the driver said he didn't have a license. When asked if he just didn't have it on him, the driver said he did not have one at all. The 24-year-old said h,e had never had a driver's license. Ofc. Bauer verified the driver did not have a license. Arrested, the license-less driver was taken to the county jail. Ride g Rail topped ,n Mr. Pult over Sunday, July 21 By Mike Lakin More than 300 motorcyclists participated to help fund the Illi- nois Military Family Relief Fund and the Illinois Law Enforce- ment Education Foundation. Mylas said the group expected to raise a little more than $15,000 Sunday for both law enforcement education and military families. The motorcyclists concluded the 83-mile ride at Boondocks in Springfield. Police escorts followed the motorcyclists on the hours-long journey, making it a safe trip, Copeland said. The Illinois Sheriffs' Association, the Illinois Military Family Relief Fund, the Illinois National Guard, and hundreds of other volunteers and participants helped put on the event. Over the roar of arriving cycles, he said he was the founder and president of Peacekeepers. He said he was humbled by the way people come" forward to support the Peacekeepers efforts to raise.scholarship funds for the Illinois Sheriffs' Association and Illinois Military Relief Fund. Bob Howlett, Deputy Director Illinois Sheriffs' Association, said the scholarship funds his organization receives are divided among the sheriffs of Illinois so they can award $500 to $1,000 scholar- ships to students in their respective counties.
