ORDINANCE An Ordinance restrict- ing parking on certain desig- nated streets and designat- ing certain intersections as yield right-of-way intersec- tions or streets and provid- ing tar the erection of cer- tain traffic control devices, all within the City of Mount Pulaski, Logan County, Illinois. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MT. PULA- SKI, LOGAN COUNTY, ILLINOIS: Section I. That No Park- ing signs shall be forthwith erected on the following streets: i i Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Ramthun of Cornland are the parents.of a son, born July 14, 1971. He weighed 9 lbs. 8 oz. He has been named Jeffrey Allen, Tlby now have two sons. The grandparents are Ralph Stoll and Mrs. Romelda Johnson of Lincoln and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ram- thun of Cornland. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Wil- son of Dahinda. 111. are the proud parents of a baby girl born Monday, July 26, 1971 at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg. She has been named DeAnn Lynn. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Stratton, Mt. Pulaski and Mr. and Mrs, Gene Wilson of Lincoln. Great-grandparents arc Mr. and Mrs. Harry Carna- ham Hartsburg, ,lr. and Mrs. Clair Carter, Mt. Pula- ski, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Beccue, Springfield. and Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Wikow- sky of Maroa. (a) On both sides of German Street between Spring Street and Marion Street. (b) On both sides of Marion Street between Ger- man Street and Scroggin Avenue. (c) On both sides of Scorggin Avenue between Marion Street and McDon- ald Street. (d) On both sides of McDonald Street east to Route 121. Section 2. That Yield Right-of-Way signs shall be forthwith erected at the northeast corner of the in- tersection of German Street and Marion Street for ve- hicular traffic proceeding west on German Street. Section 3. That Yield Right-of-Way signs shall be forthwith erected at the northeast corner of the in- tersection of German Street and Spring Street for ve- hicular traffic proceeding west on German Street. Section 4. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be fin- ed not less than Five dollars ($5.00) nor more than Twenty-five ($25.00) for each offense. Section 5. This ordin- ance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law. Passed this 27th day of July, A. Pulaski Students Participate In Oheedeader School MORE THAN 2.000 HIGH SCHOOL CHEER- LEADERS, including this group from ME. Pula- ski participated in the 18th annual summer cheerleader school at Illinois State University in Bloomington-Normal. The students, whose fees for instruction, room and board fully fi- nance the proam come from throughout Illinois. Indiana. Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebra- ska and Wisconsin for the three separate one- week sessions June 13 -July 2. Instructors are selected and directed by L. R. Herkimer, Dallas, Tex., executive secretary of the National Cheerleaders Association. The program, which has restdted from requests by high school officials, includes instruction in cheerleading techniques, mass demonstrations. crowd psychology, pep rallies and sportsman- ship. Students were housed at the 12-story Haynie and Wright Halls. with meals served in Linkins, Center on the Illinois State campus. Members of the group are: Karen Horn. (top) and Gay Barry.
