STREET LIGHTING: For paying the costs of lighting the streets, alleys and municipal buildings and public grounds $2000.00. PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS: For paying the cost of maintaining municipal build. ings, necessary insurance costs and cost of upkeep of the public grounds of the City $2000.00. CONTINGENT FUND: For pay- ment necessary and lawfully In- curred but unpaid claims for supplies and equipment as of the close of the last fiscal year, $ None; and for the purpose of paying necessary corporate ex- penses and obligations not oth- erwise appropriated $1000.00, in the total sum of $1000.00. FIRE PROTECTION FUND: For the purpose of fire protection, the sum authorized by an act of the Legislature, permitting Cities and Villages of less than 500,000 I inhabitants to levy a tax of not I to exceed two mills on the dol-I lar for fire protection purposes, I lawfully submitted and adopted i by the City of Mount Pulaski, I Illinois, by a majority of the vat- | ers voting thereon, such sum so authorized, provided for and to be received by such special tax under said act, being hereby es- timated at $2200.00; the fund so provided, to be used in the pay- ment of the following fire oro- tection costs; the sum hereto. fore fixed for the payment of $1100.00 to the persons employ- ed in the fire department; fox supplies and equipment and miscellaneous expenses $1815.00, in the total sum of $2915.00. BONDED INDEBTEDNESS: For the purpose of paying in interest to accrue July 1, 1953 on the bonded indebtedness of said City of Mount Pulaski $240.00. For the purpose of paying the principal of "City Hall Bonds" of said City of Mount Pulaski, being bonds numbered 9 and 10 and maturing July 1, 1953 $2000.00. Also in addition to the above appropriations and to be includ- ed In the Street and Alley Fund, the sum to be received from the Road and Bridge Tax to be col- lected, estimated at $1500.00, making the total appropriations herein, including the amount to be received from the Road and Bridge Tax to be collected, the sum of $34,405.00. Section 2. That any unexpend- ed balance of any items of any appropriations made by this or- dinance may be expended in making up any isufficiency in any other item of appropriation made by this ordinance Section 3, This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
