His Parents - Ken- neth E. and Theatrice Howe Sr.: Son - Steven: Two Sisters and Three Brothers preceded him death. Mr. Howe worked with heavy equipment for Iron Engineers Local 965 out of Springfield. He was born Febru- ary 1. 1936 in Latham the son of Kenneth E. and Theatrice Howe Sr. Survivors Include -- Daughters - DeLisa Heard of Tyler, Texas; Debra Graham of Chandler. Texas; and Jacqueline Carter of Long-view, Texas: Sister ,- Gene Febus of Bloom- ington; Brother - Richard Howe of North Carolina; Grand- children -Joshua Howe. David Howe. Caleb Carter and Christopher Heard all of Texas. Mr. Howe served in the United States Marine Reserve. Memorials: Shriner's Children's Hospital. Loren Meister, 79, of Mt. Pulaski died Friday, July 16, 2010 at Vonderlieth Living Center at 11:15Pm. Funeral Services were Tuesday July 20 at Fricke-Cal- vert-Schrader Funeral Home. Mt. Pulaski. Burial was in Mt. Pulaski Cemetery with full military rites accorded. His Parents - George Lee and Florence Downing Meis- ter and Sister - Maxine Casad preceded him in death. Mr. Meister was a retired farmer. He worked for the United States Department of Agriculture in the Farm Ser- vice Agency since 1954 and was the chairman for the Logan County Committee for several years. He was born November 23. 1930 in rural Mt. Pulaski. the son of George Lee and Florence Downing Meister. He married Phyllis Wilson of Clinton on April 18, 1956. He was a life long member of the Mt. Pulaski United Methodist Church, Survivors Include - Wife - Phyllis, of Mt. Pulaski; Sons - David (Terri) of Mt. Pulaski, Gary (Jeryn) of Riverton, and Jeff of Mt. Pulaski: Grandchildren -Andy, Amy, Alexa, Kayla, Kendal, Jenna and Jacob Meister; Step-Grandchil- dren - Jenae Witty and Cory Yannone: Step Great-Grand- son -Jakob Witty; and Sister- Audrey Werntz of Freeport. Mr. Meister was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force Veteran. serving during the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant. He was a 57-year member of American Legion Post #447. where he was a past commander, and commander of the Honor Guard for many years. He was amember of the Sons of the American Legion where he also served as advisor since its inception in 1984. He was a member Of Voiture 985 of 40 and 8. and a 53-year member of the Lincoln Elks. Funeral Services were Friday July 2 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Jeffrey Laible officiated. Burial was in Mt. Pulaski Cem- etery. Her Parents - George and Mary Collebrusco Far- rand, Two Brothers, and a Sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Cyrulik was born April 15, 1939 in Riverton the daugh- ter of George and Mary Colle- hrusco Farrand. She married Gayle E. Cyrulik Sr. on June 1, 1957 in Lincoln. Survivors .InclUde - Hus- band - Gayle Cyrulik Sr. of Mt. Pulaski;Sons - Gayle (Brenda) Cyrulik Jr. of Bloomington and Michael (Cindy) Cyrulik of Mt. Pulaski: Daughter- Debra (Jay) Rogers of Mt. Pulaski; Sisters -Georgia (Frank- lin) Becker of Lincoln. Nebraska and Carol Beales of San Diego, California; Nine - Grandchildren and Two Great- Grandchildren. Dr. Borgerson was born May 6, 1933 in Cando, North Dakota the son of Minor Johannus and Mabel Briggs Borgerson. He married Mar- garet E. Dana on May 24, 1958 in Mt. Pulaski. Dr. Borgerson established and operated his private family medical practice for 44 years in Mt. Pulaski until his retirement in 2004. Survivors Include - Wife - Margaret Borgerson of Mt. Pulaski: Daughters - Angela (Jim) ReVeal of St. Louis: Lynne (Tony) Borgerson Morefield of St. Louis: and Dr. Lara Borgerson of'New Holland. " Dr. Borgerson was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Mt. Pulaski. He grew up fn Missoula. Montana and graduated from the University of Montana. In 1958he received his Doctor- ate of Medicine from Northwestern University. He served his community as a founding member of Vonderlieth Living Center. He had been on the Vonderlieth Living Center Board since its inception in 1972. He served on several Zion Lutheran Church committees, was a member of the Mt. Pulaski Board of Education. on the Board of Governors of ISMIE. and was a long time member of the Illinois State Medi cal Society. Jim was an avid gardener and shared his harvest (espe- cially popcorn) with many. He was and active member of the Springfield and Corn Belt Philatelic Societies. Memorials: Zion Lutheran Preschool. Pulaski formerly of Latham died July 10, 2010 at Vondel'lieth Living Center at 4:10Pm. Funeral Services were Tuesday July 13 at Fricke-Cal- vert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mt. Pulaski. Rev. Glenn Strohschein officiated. Burial was in Humboldt Cemetery. His Parents: Wife - Cathe- rine; a Son: Two Sisters: and Three Brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Jones was a skilled welder for G.E. He worked for Huss-Sleiper in Ddcatur as well as WR Grace Fertil- izer in Clinton. He was born February 19. 1915 in Decatur the son of George Wilson and Hulda Hoffercamp Jones. He married Catherine Fellows on November 26, 1936. She preceded him in death on Sep- tember 30, 1997. Survivors Include -Son - Wesley (Synda) Jones of Ft. Meyer, Florida: Daughters - Jo Ellen (Robert) Maske of Mt. Pulaski and Carol (Steve) Tulo of Springfield, Vir- ginia; Daughter-in-Law - Peggie Jones of Chebaqua Island. Maine; Sister - Norma Jones of Humboldt; Sister-in-law - Sara Brand of Mattoon: Twelve Grandchildren: Twenty Great Grandchildreni and a Great-Great-Grandchild. Mr. Jones was a member of the Latham Fire Department, a Board Member of Lake Bank Cemetery and Past Mayor of Latham. Memorials: Zion Lutheran School or Vonderlieth Living Center.
