Ms. Hirner will begin with meet- ing people at the Latham Cafe at 7, driving on to Chestnut Family Restaurant at 8. Then, she will'be meeting with Democratic precinct committee people in Lincoln at 9. DK Hirner will also be attend- ing a private event in Mt. Pulaski, followed by an opportunity to meet the public. At 11, she will be speak- ing at the bandstand on the lawn of the Mt. Pulaski courthouse. The candidate welcomes questions from the public: Phoenix Fire Department Open House for Department's 125th Anniversary Members of the Mt. Pulaski Phoenix Fire Department will be hosting an open house at the Mt. Pulaski Fire Station July 3 in honor of the 125 th anniver- sary of the Phoenix Fire Depart- ment. Latham Firefighters 61 st Annual Ice Cream Social Saturday July 10 Registration starts at llAm for the Antique tractor and Vintage car show that will be 1 to 7 featur- ing the Land of Lincoln Antique Engine & Tractor Club and the Rail Splitter Car Cub. All others with antique tractors, cars and trucks, are welcome. There is no entry fee. There will be activities for antique tractors and vintage cars. Junior Olympics at the ball park at 2 for kids of all ages through high school. There will be a Junior Kids pedal trator pull at 4. Entertainment by the Eric Bur- gett Central Illinois Country Band from 5 until 8 and the Latham Firefighters five large prize draw- ing will be at 8:30Pro. Serving of sandwiches, ice cream, cake, and soft drinks will start at Noon at the firehouse Free tickets with purchase from the food line for area merchant prizes to be given away during the afternoon and evening.
