Call Mike for Reservations 217-855-6549 Kirby 60  Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kirby of Williamsville celebrated their 60  wedding anniversary Friday, June 12. The Rev. Edward Tesh married the couple June 12, 1955 at the Lake Fork Christian Church. Witnessing the vows were the bride's sister, Donna (Oglesby) Petro and the groom's brother, Howard Kirby. Richard is the son of the late Huston and Eva (Nailer) Kirby. Jane is the daughter of the late William and Aldene (Bryson) Oglesby. Soon after marriage, Richard was drafted into the Navy, serving from 1955 to 1957 on bOard the USS Talladega. After service, Richard worked WIU Graduate Jamie Ann BobeU of Elkhart graduated from West- em Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science, Agricultural Science. Mount Pulaski Christian Church Father's Day on Courthouse Lawn Mount Pulaski Christian Church will hold a Father's day service on the courthouse lawn 10:30 am Sunday, June 21. Breakfast will be served in the Family Life Center from 9-10am, followed by games for all ages, and then the service at 10:30. The Vacation Bible School children will be singing VBS songs, and there will be some in-service fun games, and then a message on "The Challenge of Father- hood." An early service is also planned for 8am in the church sanctuary. Everyone is invited to join in any of the morning activities. Bring a lawn chair and dress casual. Later he retired as a welder from Arrow Trailer and Equipment in Springfield. He still welds, on his own time, now. Jane worked as a telephone operator in Mount Pulaski then at Cutler-Hammer in Lincoln for a few years. She plants a big garden in the spring and is an avid quilter in winter. The Kirbys are the parents of three children - Mary Stewart of Hillsboro, Joyce (Mark) Hill- iard of Springfield, and Lee (Tammy) Kirby of Andrew. They have five grandchildren - McKen- zie Stewart, Dinah and John Hilliard, and Kerry and Cody Kirby - and their beloved dog Barbie. Monthly Luncheon MPTHS Class of 1962 By Dick Romer Class members met for the monthly luncheon get together at the Farmers Family Restaurant at 11:30 Monday, June 1. Much discussion centered around the upcom- ing 60's Reunion to be held Saturday, September 12 at the American Legion in Mt. Pulaski. Pat Walsh gave a brief presentation on the John Deer Tractor and Glen Bryson added some inter- esting facts as well. In attendance were: Linda Henrichsmeyer Vaughn, Jan Jaggi Andrews, Frank Thornton, JimBoy and Judy Coogan, Gene and PatsY Cowger, Dick Romer, Glen Bryson, Pat Walsh, Jim and Collen Stiles, Sharon Wachter Gerdes and Carol Gee Coombes.
