Jeff Cowan was also pre- tented the Citizenship Award at his graduation. John W. Drake completed his six-year enlistment with the U.S. Army Reserves, Decatur, Ill. Attending the 8th Grade Graduation Thursday, June 3rd at the Grade School for Patrick McCormick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman McCormick, was grand- mother, Mrs. Gladys McCormick and aunt, Mrs. Marilyn Sloyd, South Haven, Mississippi. Mrs. Gladys McCormick, De- catur, Ill., has rented Miss Nell Watson's house, and will be moving into Chestnut after June 20th. Let's make her welcome. Attending the 8th Grade Graduation of Miss Wendy Buehler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Buehler, were Mr. and Mrs. Bert Buehler, Lincoln, Mrs. Albert Buehler, Miss Kathy Rice, and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Buehler, Monticello, Ill. After the Graduation Dance at the Grade School, Miss Wendy Buehler hosted a slumber party for her girlfriends who also grad- uated. Miss Kathy Shull also at- tended. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Knoy honored their children's gradua- tion with a party Friday evening for friends and relatives. Roger graduated from MPTHS and Rhonda graduated-from 8th grade. Attending were: Mrs. F.ve- lyn Baldwin, Maroa, Mrs. Karen Baldwin and sons, Maroa, Mr. and Mrs. Halmond Bowden, Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kodatt and children, Lincoln, Mrs. Eva Shull, Mrs. Leroy Thompson, and children, Clin- ton. Mrs. Doris Creagor, Lincoln, and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hunter, Lincoln, attended 8th Grade Graduation in honor of Scott McKinney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McKinney; June 3rd was also the McKinney's 15th Wedding Anniversary and Tom's birthday. Belated Birthday Greetings to Pearl Jo Richner, who c*.lebrated her birthday June 3rd. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Luster were home last week to attend the Graduation of her brother, Lynwood Armstrong, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Armstrong. Mr. and Mrs. Luster returned to Alexandra, Virginia. taking Diana and Lynwood home with them for a vacation til Dick is discharged from the Army June 25th. Mrs. Luster is the former Gloria Armstrong. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Travis, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Rentschler. and Mrs. Bea Reed, Creve Coeur, Ill., spent the weekend in Brooksville, Kentucky with Rev. and Mrs. Bert Travis and daugh- ters to attend the graduation of Patricia Travis.
