. Learning About Government Three young men from this area are attending Illinois Boys State. Patrick Bree, James T. Mittelsteadt, and Zachary Rain- eri are at Eastern University in Charleston. Their attendance is sponsored by Mt. Pulaski Amer- ican Legion Post 447. "The seven-day program, gives them hands-on experience in the operation and fundamentals of government. Patrick Bree is the son of Paula Bree. He is a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, Scholastic Bowl, Science Olym - piad, and WYSE. After high school, Patrick plans to further his education and earn a BS in Political Science. His long- term goal is become a lawyer. James T. (JT) Mittelsteadt is the son o Cheryl Mittelsteadt. He has participated in Boy Scouts. After high school, JT plans to further his education and is looking at careers in either teaching or as an electrician.
