Pulaski Courthouse Foundation will be having workweek at the courthouse June 23 - 26. General cleaning such as window washing, mopping floors, dusting, and furniture maintenance will all need to be done. Also, the front steps need to be painted and some yard work done. We would like to have the courthouse and grounds sparkling for the Family Street Fest Friday, June 27. If you can lend a hand for a day or even a couple of hours, call Sue Schaffenacker at 792-5693 or email Please come and volunteer. Our courthouse is a source of pride for all of us and we need everyone's help to keep it in good shape. Can.'t Make This Stuff Up Lloyd Torbeck reported his son was on his way to a meeting and at Paw Paw, Il- linois found the ground white with snow. That was snow on May 16. Probably Enjoyed Cool Weather He's staying non-committal, but Doug at the hardware store has been selling replace- ment tomato plants to gardeners that set them out too early in April. He did say he's running low on the plants and may not have any left as you read this. Bet Doug enjoyed those chilly days and nights back in April. Smelled Like 16-year-old Mt. Pulaski minor got to visit with Chief Lynn Freer. A container that smelled like cannabis was one thing; the contents looked like cannabis too; sec- ond such incident for the minor. Charged with possession of cannabis and possession of his monkey pipe - report was filed for State's Attorney review. CARVING By Larry Wilham... ...available at Salt Creek Attic.
