Pulaski was the establishment of the Mount Pulaski Courthouse Foundation vlPCF). MPCF promotes awareness of the historical, architec- tural, and cultural significance of the courthouse. It also supports interpretive and educational programs and sup- ports preservation, restoration and reconstruction efforts. The Mount Pulaski Courthouse Foundation (MPCF) is Open for membership to all who subscribe to the mission of the MPCF. Individual, household, student, Donor, Patron, and Benefactor memberships will be available, as well as corporate and business sponsorships for specific events. The foundation has* classes of members... An Active Volunteer; anyone who is included on the list supplied annually by the Mount Pulaski Courthouse site coordinator at the annual meeting of the members. An Individual; Anyone paying annual dues of $20. / A Student; Anyone who is attending high school o1: college - Free A Family; Anyone paying annual dues of $35. A Supporter; Anyone paying annual dues of $100. A Patron; Anyone paying annual dues of $250. A Benefactor; Anyone paying annual dues of $500. A Proprietor; Any business paying annual dues of $50. An Associate; Any business paying annual dues of $100. A Partner; Any bazsiness paying annual dues of $500. The Corporate; Any business paying annual dues of $1000. In addition, the MPCF Board of Directors may confer Honorary Membership upon any individual. An Honor- ary Member shall not be required to pay annual dues. The Mt. Pulaski Courthouse is open from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and by appointment. Call Site Director Wally Kautz (792-5430) for a tour group or a special appointment. The following foundation proiects and events are scheduled... The courthousewittatso-beopen-onMemorial Day and July 4. The foundation may have a Bake Sale on July 4, as, a part of the town-wide garage sales. The foundation will be looking for volunteers to work on the Courthouse the week of July 8-13. Individuals or groups may pick days and times to schedule work time. Monetary donations are welcome in lieu of work time, or sponsors for specific repairs can be accommodated. There Wl b-e a variety of jobs foralt skiU levels and abilities. An evening celebration on Friday July 13 will be the finale for the week. Included will be activities for kids in the early evening and a band and food, beverage and music entertainment is planned until t 1 pm. The Court- house and the Museum will be open for visits. A Quilt Show at the Courthouse is being planned for Fall Festival, Sept 8-9. The entry fornas for quilts, new and old, are available in many places around Mr. Pulaski and Lincoln. The forms are due to be turned in by August 16 so the information can be prepared for the show. Quilts will have to be brought to the courthouse on Sept. 7, in the afternoon. Visitors to the show will be asked to offer a free will donation to benefit the Mt. Pulaski Courthouse Foundation. Visitors will also be asked to vote for their favorite quill The top three winners of that vote will receive a prize. The First Foundation Dinner will be held Sept. 6 at the American Legion in Mt. Pulaski. The dinner is to be the major fundraiser for the Mt. Pulaski Courthouse Founda- tion. Tickets will cost $20. At the event, one award will be given to an outstanding member of the Alumni of Mt. Pulaski High School and another award to a citizen of Mt. Pulaski who has given a lot to the wellbeing of the community. Nominations for those awards will come from any interested persons. A committee .w choose the winners.
