Mt. Pulaski High School Senior-of-the-Year Hannah Allen Hannah is the daugh- ter of Ralph and Lori Allen of Mt. Pulaski. Hannah has been active in the Mt. Pulaski High School FFA, where she served last year as Chapter Reporter. She is currently co- president of National Honor Society, and vice president of Student Council. She has participated on the WYSE team, the Science Olympiad Team, and has served as president of Spanish Club. Hannah is also a member of Drama Club and Spirit Squad. She was a three-year member of the Toppers volleyball team. Hannah earned her State FFA Degree in June of 2010. She was an SAE Program Record Book Section Winner in Sheep Production in 2009 and 2010. She has served as Secretary and Vice Presi- dent of her 4-H club, and was a 4-H Record Book County Medal Award Winner in Animal Science. In June of 2010, Hannah was selected as a delegate to IUini Girls State and a delegate to the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives Youth Day. She participated in group workcamp for two years and was involved through her church as worship band keyboardist and vocalist. She also volunteered as assistant volleyball coach at Zion Lutheran School in Mt. Pulaski. Hannah has been a straight "A" student through- out high schooll She plans to attend the University of Illinois in the college of agriculture, consumer and environmental sciences to pursue a career in food science. She has been awarded a Jonathan Baldwin Tumer Scholarship at the University of Illinois, and has been selected as a Monsanto Com- mitment to Agriculture scholarship winner. She was awarded the Farm Credit Services Scholarship, the DAR Good Citizen award, the Senior Science Award, a Mt. Pulaski Rotary Scholarship, an FFA Alumni Scholarship, and the Shelter Insurance Scholarship. Hannah is an Illinois State Scholar and has been named a Prairie State Achievement Scholar in Mathematics. She is one of the "Top Ten" students in the Class of 2011. The Senior-of-the-Year receives a $1000 award, courtesy of Johnson's Food Center of Mt. Pulaski and Mt. Pulaski Pharmacy.
