Mt Pulaski United Methodist Church Graduation Recognition Day Sunday, May 17 graduates will be recognized during worship services at 11am. Mt. Pulaski Youth Group meets at 2pm. Still A Family Owned - Local Employer Since 1945 Third Generation Memorialists In Memory Danny L. Schick, 67, died at 10:00 A.M. on May 2, 2015 at Imboden Gardens in Decatur. Danny was born on February 9, 1948 in Lincoln, IL; son of Frank and Almeda Janssen Schick. He married Ruth Boesdorfer on March 1, 1980 in Clinton. She survives him. Also surviving Danny are his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Danny was a retired farmer in the Latham area and was a purebred cattle breeder. Cremation Rites for Danny have been accorded. There will be a pri- vate family service to be held at a later date. Fricke-Caivert-Schrader in Mt. Pulaski was entrusted with services. In Memory Alvin $. Behrens, 89, of Manlius, Illinois died 5:25 p.m. April 29, 2015 at Illini Restor- ative Care, Silvis, IL Services were Monday, May 4 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manlius. Rev. Gene Vin- cent officiated. Burial was in Man- lius Cemetery, Manlius, IL, with full military rites accorded. Mr. Behrens was born June 23, 1925 in Manlius, a son of Carl and Mina (Stier) Behrens. He married Bernadette M. Ryan October 17, 1946 in Santa Fe, NM. She pre- ceded him in death on December 29, 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister - Margaret Jaquet. Survivors include- son David A. (Diane) Behrens of Moline; sis- ters -Kathleen R. (Mark) Miller of Latham, Nancy M. (Jim Drake) Gibbs of Princeton, and Beulah Nelson -of Polo; brother - Milford Behrens of Manlius; and seven grandchildren, eleven great-grand- children - with one due in May, and a great-great-grandchild due in October. Mr. Behrens was a lifetime . farmer and graduate of Manlius High School in 1943. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manlius and the Bureau County Farm Bureau. He served in WWII in Medical Detachment 1802d Special Regi- ment USMA, West Point, NY. Memorials: Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manlius, IL. In Memory Kevin L. Combs, 59, of Hoffman Estates, formerly of Atlanta, died_at 9:00 a-m. Monday, May 4, 2015 at Joumeycare Pepper Family Hospice Center in Bar- rington. Kevin Lynn Combs was born September 13, 1955, in Lin- coln, the son of Melvin Freder- ick and Vivian Elizabeth Radley Combs. He married Christy B. Aughenbaugh on July 30, 1988. She survives. Kevin is further survived by his children - Kyle Combs of Atlanta, Jacob Combs of Ft Carson, Col., and Cory (Alexis) Combs of Ft Hood, Tex., Maria Sanchez of Chi- cago, and Carlos (Kristin) San- chez of Vemon Hills; siblings - Ed Combs of Mt. Pulaski, Margaret (Paul) Meyers of Hot Springs, Ark., Don (Laureen) Combs of Auburn, NH, John (Peggy) Combs of Vrmter Pointe, Maine, Joy (Bruce) Ervin of Webb City, Mo., Randy (Kathy) Combs of Atlanta, and sister-in-law - Melinda Combs of Easton; and [grandchildre n - Adrian Sanchez, Elena Sanchez and Graycin Combs. He was preceded in death by: brother, Gary Combs and sister, Marilyn Boward, and his parents Melvin and Vivian Combs. Kevin was a 1976 graduate of Olympia High School and the owner of Combs and Sons Construction. He was a member of the Method- ist Church. His hobbies included woodworking, classic cars, hunting, fishing, supporting his children in their endeavors, and spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Combs were Friday, May 8 at Quiram-Peas- ley Funeral Home, Atlanta. Crema- tion rites were accorded. Burial in Bethel Cemetery, rural Emden at a later date. Drake, 87, . of Morton, died at il a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at his home. =F- He was bom Jan. 12, 1928, in . Comland, to Martin Bogarte and Clara Belle (Robinson) Drake. He " married Eileen Luka on Aug. 13, 1950, in Decatur. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2008. He also was preceded in death by son, Thomas, and brothers, Michael, David, Donald, Robert and Richard. ' Surviving are daughters - Sharon (Harry) Schirding of Petersburg and Shirley (Jack) Jones of Morton; son- O Robert (Melissa) Drake ofJacobus, n Pa.; daughter-in-law, Debra Drake of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He graduated from Mt. Pulaski High School and the University of Illinois. Andrew worked as an accountant and a Foreign Tax Manager for Cat- erpillar Inc., retiring in 1990 after 35 years with the company. He was a member of Grace Church in Morton. For many years he had been an active member of First Church of the Nazarene in Peoria, where he served as trea- surer for many years and in other capacities. Andrew was a wonderful hus- band, father, and grandfather. He prayed daily for each child and grandchild by name. Funeral services were at Grace Church, Peoria Saturday, May 2. Pastor Tim Bertsche officiated. Burial was in Hirstein Cemetery, Morton. Memorials: Grace Church, 1325 E. Jefferson St., P.O.
