Galloway spent Sunday afternoon in Latham with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bressmer. The local pastor was ill of laringitis and unable to occupy the pulpit Sunday. Sam Birks of West Salem was here on a business mission Thursday and called on several. Arnold Galloways moved on Thursday, from Springfield to Tuscola. He was transferred. salary. Remember the Austin school program this Friday at 8 p.m., and mother-daughter potluck supper Thursday, May 11. David, son of the Win. Rau's, slipped on grass while jumping Thursday, fell backwards on left arm. broke both bones above the wrist. A number were present Sun- day for Tom HeWs 4th birthday i)arty, for May 1 was his moth- er's birthday, also. Heard over radio a solution for dandelions--"Just learn to love them." As t() Latham Saturday a.m. the roadside grass so green, dot- ted with yellow dandelions, was just beautiful. The subject of mowing church- yard was brought up after S.S. Shouldn't expect pastor to do it when ill and final tests this week. He graduates from I.M.U. in June. So the Y.F. boys and girls decided to keep yard mowed. They came Monday evening with several power mowers, even mow- ed parsonage yard. Rainy Thursday a.m. and Fri- day night after a strong NW wind all day. Nice Saturday a.m. then rainy all afternoon and evening. Sunday rather decent.numerous showers. Some day and Monday. Sunny this lmarket has dried out oa Tuesday a.m., but chilly. | discount. Keep annual grassy and broadleaf weeds out of corn. Spreads a chemical blanket that stops weeds as they germinate. Apply it in bands over the row, or in overall treatments. Randox T proved its value to thousands of corn farmers in the wet spring of 1960, when it was tough to find a day dry enough to get into the field. Randox T proved its claim that it could clean up the weediest fields, often eliminate the need of rotary hoeing, and save at least one cul- tivation. More than that, Randox T prov- ed it could push yields up at least 10 bu- shels (or more) per acre over untreated fields. Randox T is a pre-emergence herbicide only. It has to be applied at the time you plant. RA Dox ,i Randox keeps grass out of soybeans. Ran- dox is the first "apply-as-you-plant" weed killer that knocks out grassy weeds before they sprout.., yet doesn't hurt the crop ! Randox makes bean harvesting faster and easier. With cleaner fields, you don't have to wait for frost to kill off heavy foxtail growth, while soybean pods be- come brittle and drop beans before harv- esting. You get bigger yields of cleaner beans with Randox. P.S. Randox may be used on corn, also. Randox costs less than its cousin, Randox T. So, if grassy weeds are your m1 weed problem in corn, use straight Randox in your conrfields instead of the wider-kill- ing Randox T. You'll save a few more dollars that way.
