- v The G0D of a GOOD TIME Amonq the siqns of a degenerat- inq world St. Paul includes the masses who are "lovers of plea- sure more than lovers of God. 2 Tim. 3, 4. In a pleasure-mad age this warning prompts us to pause for reflection. People serve the idol of pleasure and sacrifice the hiqheet values at life upon its altars. Our God is that which we love most. Are we worshtpl:)mq a qooci time? How much time do we devote each week to plea- sure? What do we spend each week in cold cash on a qood time? When we have answered these questions, we may ,ask ourselves how much o! our time, talent, and money we have in- vested in Christian worship and service. The answer will suq- qest whether we care more for pleasure than for C-od. Wholesome pleasures are desirable and necessary. But we must nol perrn:t them to divert our attention from the paramount purpose of life. Christians deliqht themselves in the Lord and in obedience to His will. Christ has redeemed and saved us. In the qratttude and obedience of heaven-balm tatth, our deterrhined purpose must be to live to the Savior to qlonfy Him in a life of Christian devotion.
