Fern's Celebrating 85th The family of Fern Maus of Mt. Pulaski (formerly of Chest- nut) wilt celebrate her 85th birthday with a Cake Recep- tion Saturday May 7 from 3 to 5 pm at the Family Life Center in Mt. Pulaski. Fern (and her twin sister Flossie) were born in Lincoln on May 5, 1926. Her parents were Flossie Marie Baker and Charles Wayne Moore of Lincoln. She married Wilbur John Maus on July 24, 1945. They celebrated 48 years of marriage until Wilbur's death in 1993. She has four sons. Walter (Debra) Maus, Gregory (Pamela) Maus, Curtis Maus, and Jody Maus. She has 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Fern worked in the Illiopolis Ammunition Plant during World War II. She has been a homemaker since she married.
