AWARDS
Eddie Power of Mt. Pulaski
was presented a diamond ring by
Elmer Fisher of the American
Bowling Congress Monday eve-
Ring at the Hilltop Bowl in Mt.
Pulaski.
Ed, who bowled his perfect
game at the Hilltop Bowl, was
at the right place to do so. It
was mentioned that many bowl-
ing alleys have no special prizes
or awards.
Eighteen Mt. Pulaski mer-
chants each presented Ed with a
$100.00 bond. Those donating
the bonds were Wilham Con-
struction, Downing Insurance,
Stoll Coal and Gas, Putter and
Clutter Shoppe, Gene Howe
Auctioneer, Huston s Apparel,
Mt. Pulaski Farmers Gram and
Elevator Co., Zim's, Custom
Farm Service, First National
Bank, Franklin Payne, Bowl
Manager, Fred Holmes Garage,
Duh's Spray Painting, Curtis Oil,
Bo-Jac Hybrid Seed Corn, Mt.
Pulaski Crop Service, Latham
Oil Company and Rothwell
Lumber Company.
RED CROSS BLOOD BANK
The Logan County Red Cross
Blood Bank is being sponsored
this month, by all of the
Veteran's groups 9f the Comity.
Each grcup has been asked to
donate or recruit a certain a-
mount of donors. If each organi-
zauon meets their quota -- this
will be one of the most success-
ful Blood Banks ever.
All of the Legion Posts, the
V.F.W., the Amvets, and their
Auxiliaries will contribute in giv-
ing the all important life giving
blood. Many ox mee veterans
have had 'blood transfusions,
therefore, realize the importance
of having blood available at all
times.
The Blood Bank will be held
at the American Legion Home
on North Logan Street, Thurs-
day, April 8th. The hours will be
11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Plenty of
parking either at the Legion
Home or across the street at the
City parking lot.
