Springing Ahead Nine members of the Past Presidents of the Mt. Pulaski Woman's Club met March 16, at Buff's Restaurant! Lois Schmidt served as hostess. Phyl- lis Bryson called the meeting to order. A motion made by Maxine Downing and seconded by, Carol Van Rheeden to members, Nellie Leimbach, would be celebrating her 95 th birthday at a party. April 10, at the Mt. Pulaski Annual Easter Variety Sale St. John's Lutheran Church will be hosting its annual Easter Variety Sale Sat, April 23, in the church basement. The sale starts promptly at 9 and will run until 1 pm. A variety of items will be available for your Easter dinner, including, home- made noodles. Various craft items, goose suits, and perennial potted plants will also be for. sale. There are no special orders taken or early sales. Horseshoe Pitchin' At the 175 celebra- tion, we will be having a horseshoe tournament for anyone interested in pitching. This will be over the 4th of July weekend. It will be at the park just south of the grade school. Please call me so I will have an idea how many people would like to pitch. Call Steven Bailey at 1-217- 792-5363. After I get a list of names I will decide what kind of tournament I will have. Be it doubles or singles. Anyone from the age of 8 to 80 or older can pitch. You will need to bring your own horse- shoes if you have them. I have several pair but not enough for everyone if a lot of people sign up to pitch.
