Celebrate Join us for traditional Irish Step Dancers, from Achill Acad- emy of Irish Dance. The perfor- mance is 6:30Pm, Friday, March 19, in the Vonderlieth Living Center Activity Room. Achill (pronounced "Ah kill") Academy of Irish Dance and the Achill Irish Dancers have been a growing part of Central Illinois' tradition of celebrating ethnic dance and tradition. Founded by Sharon Flynn Stidham in 2007, the Achill Academy is focused on training Irish dancers in the traditional forms of the dance. Sharon and her sisters began Irish Dance in 1996. She has performed at annual dinner dances hosted by the Tara Asso- ciation, and at Carnegie Hall. Sharon won numerous local, regional and national awards, and qualified regularly for the Worlds competition, then held annually in Ireland. Moving from Texas to Spring- field, Shannon opened her own school. Mt. Pulaski First Christian Church Easter Weekend April 2 - Good Friday ser- vices will be held in the church sanctuary at 7Pm.
