Crown of French-fries boxes. How apropos. McDonald's awards Jean Davis with $25,000 What do you want with your McDonald's fries? Jean Davis from Zion Lutheran School wants fries with a week at work camp for area youth. McDonald's recently launched their You Want McDonald's Fries With That Contest which cel- ebrates how McDonald's flies can make the best moments even better. Davis' dream to send youth group members to work camp where they will pro- vide fellowship and free home repair to elderly, dis- abled and low-income families each summer earned her the top prize of $25,000 Davis' entry placed her in the top 5 out of 50,620 contestants. From there her youth group and school students helped her rise to the top by voting and spreading the word to the community. Jean's husband, Rob Davis was of course proud of Jean's accom- plishment. As for the upcoming limousine trip, Rob said it would be his first And itwas kind of nice, having someone else drive. A representative of "McDonald's advertising agency was handing out $20 bills. Come to find out it was "extra's pay" for being in the photo with Jean and her $25,000 check. As only Jean would, she quickly noted she had now won $25,020. Davis and her family made a special trip to the Chicago Blackhawks game where she was recog- nized and presented with her $25,000 Thursday, February 22. "The members of the Latham United Methodist Church youth group are so excited about the oppor- tunity to travel to Pennsylvania for vork camp this summer," said Jean Davis. "This is truly a life chang- ing experience for them that may not have been pos- sible without McDonald's support."
