January 22, 2011 Internal Revenue Service electronic filing systems are open and the IRS wants to remind taxpayers that e-file remains the best way to get fast refunds and ensure accu- rate tax returns, particularly following several tax law changes in December. IRS e-file is approaching the milestone of 1 billion returns processed. People with adjusted gross incomes of $58,000 or less can prepare and e-file their federal tax returns for free through the IRS-Free File program. For taxpayers whose incomes are more than Retired Elkhart Post Office Clerk Opal F. Buttell, 92, of Elkhart, died Sunday, Jan 9, 2011, at 8:23 a.m. at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital emergency room. Funeral Services were Satur- day, Jan 15 at Peasley Funeral Home, Lincoln. Rev. Simon L. Taabu officiated. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln. Five brothers and four sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Buttell retired from the Elkhart Post Office as a clerk after 29 years of service. She was born June 14, 1918, in Logan County the daughter of Frank and Florence Rahob itz Bohn. She married Jacob C. Buttell on Jan 20, 1942, in Elkhart. He preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1995. Survivors Include - Brother - Charles (Louise) Bohn of Corn land; Sister - Elizabeth Hooper of Rockford; Niece - Anita Davis of Elkhart; and Nephew - Roger Bohn of Mt Pulaski.
