January 22, 2011 Recharging Our Outlooks & Patriotism Recharging our Outlooks and Patriotism will be pre- sented at 7 p.m. Monday, February 7, in the Mt. Pulaski First Christian Church, Family Life Center. The program is designed to change negative outlooks to positive outlooks for today's generation on and into future generations of our children and grandchildren. Additionally, it is aimed at rekindling that spark of patriotism lying just beneath the skin intooa raging fire of love for country and truly enjoying the many bless- ings God has given us as a nation. This program's author and presenter is Kevin Pippin of Springfield. Kevin served 20 years in the Army and National Guard. He is self- motivated and has pursued a career with an International Fortune 500 Company. Retiring a year ago, he has realized his dream of owning his own company one day. Drawing on his experiences, he is able to provide a variety of business services. Having become a skilled motivational speaker throughout the years, Kevin especially likes to present this program to all interested parties since patriotism seems to have diminished somewhat in our beloved nation. The program is free and open to the public. Come join us. You'll surely be blessed by what Kevin has to say. Submitted by Pat Straumann Richard Schroth & Family of Rockville, Maryland received a Christmas card from the Obama Family. Vivian Schroth of Mt. Pulaski received the card from her son. Since Logan County is pretty much a "red" county, thought folks might be interested in seeing what a White House Christmas card looked like.
