Washington, IHinois Con't From Preceding Page In the tour of the area, you , realize it will take a very long time before a total cleanup will take place. Homes are now just debris piled at curbs. Chris said there are so many stories about what happened. One woman was on the second floor of her home when the tornado struck, biat she found herself on the curb in from of her house after it passed. She got up - real- ized she was fine - and started checking on her neighbors. Others said that when the tor- nado struck they had two cars in their garage. After it passed, they still had two cars in the debris of the garage, but they weren't their cars. Others, start- ing to sort through the debris of their home, found the pos ....... sessions in the remains of their house weren't their possessions. As of Christmas, some fami- lies have plans to start re-build- ing on their lot. However, many lots are on the market to be sold - the owners having no inten- tion of returning.
